Shane Miller

Shane came to Etowah River church of Christ from Peachtree Corners church of Christ where he was actively involved in teaching bible classes and community outreach activities.

Shane's background uniquely distinguishes his preaching as one who daily walks in the shadow of the cross and as one who has a great empathy for the burdens of his listener. His desire to preach stems from a long-term intimate childhood relationship with a Grandfather who preached and taught Shane many valuable practical lessons about depending on God for strength and wisdom, and an Amish Grandfather who taught him strong work ethics and religious dedication.

Shane was born in the late 60's in Eustis, Florida. although a brief period of his life was spent in Montana, most of Shane's life was spent in Florida where he received his education and met his wife Wendy. They were married in 1993 and have two children: Ethan, and Hannah.

After moving to Georgia in 1994, Shane established Fortified Fence Group, a company that builds commercial and residential fences. Wendy home schools their two children because they feel that their greatest responsibility is to raise their children in the Lord.

Shane's favorite saying is: "when time is over and life is past, only the things done for Christ will last."
